Sometimes you stumble upon things that make you question what you're doing with you life. And sometimes, those things come in the form of some insane thing that someone created that is so beyond your capabilities you feel like you'll never amount to anything, even though that's simply not true. For me, it's the arts. Specifically, when people build magnificent pieces out of nature, like that one guy who makes crop circle-y designs by walking around in the snow, or my lifelong hero Andy Goldsworthy. This one, however, is not a single person but a collection of ridiculous sculptures by incredibly dexterous people who build masterpieces out of sand. Hot tip: if you're in Southern California, there's a man who is almost always on the beach outside of the Coronado Hotel in San Diego building sandcastles that would make Walt Disney weep. And yes, he can be commissioned for parties and proposals.
And now, it's time to hit the beach and get my practice on.
